Even in this technical, computer-animated age, kaleidoscopes still fascinate children. The morphing patterns, held up to the light, are wondrous. As soon as you've seen one beautiful pattern of colour, with just a twist it disappears and another, equally stunning one takes its place. People and situations can be just as tantalising as those patterns, and they can offer an even bigger variety of possibilities. Though it may seem as if you're going round in circles - you're seeing things from a greater perspective.
