Interestingly enough, I am currently on both a diet and a detox ....

Ekka visit #2.

The last thing .... the carpet in the new study was professionally laid. 

Here are a few photos from A - Z of  the project. 

Starting from zero .... the bare space. 

The builder laying out the framework. 

The sound-deadening insulation

and dry wall. 

Paining .... I dislike it. Mindless.

Did it to try and cut costs a little; save a few bucks.  

The builder's very cool Falcon XR6 workhorse.

Drill bit for the besser block wall: need a LAN connection

for internet work with China, not WiFi. 

Furniture has been brought down and cleaned / dusted etc. 

Waiting for the carpet guy to arrive. 

The paint splots will disappear underneath the carpet ... 

Nathan the carpet guy has arrived. 

Tuesday afternoon, 13 / 08 / 2019. 

He glued down and then nailed down the "nail edging"

before laying the under felt. 

Sound-absorbing under felt. 

A planned carpet "door mat" was not to be due to the door clearance. 

Needed to remove the door and plane it down .... not going to happen. 

Expensive quality sound-deadening carpet laid .... nice job.

I love going to the Ekka. 

Below:  The Dog Pavilion was really interesting, of course. 

Not seeing the wood chopping events is not an option ! 

Soooo popular. 

Then onto the animal section... 

Didn't stay for the fireworks: it was a gentle day, not crowded. 

Most enjoyable. 

See you on Saturday for the fireworks ....
