South East Queensland has experienced 

massive rainfall over the last few days

and with that, major flooding. 

It's all very difficult and expensive for so many residents.

Had a big crane and crew

in the street today, 

even with the deluge of rain. 

The job must go on ! 

 

Firstly, the crane parked outside my driveway,

however it then proceeded down a few doors. 

A spa was then air-lifted over the house and yard

and into the rear courtyard of a townhouse in 

the next street over. 

Precision lifting @ Mann's Cranes . 

 

A serious cost to do this ... how many staff ? 

Crane hire. Truck delivery. Road closure permit. 

Hope that the client thinks it's all worth it.

Devon Cottage is 5th house going towards the Broadwater

Peaked roof, faded paint, between green roof (away ) 

and darker red roof ( towards bottom of frame ). 

House was resumed by Gold Coast City Council long ago.

Beside Frederick Street where the steel fence ends. 

Grave at rear with Black Wattle Tree growing

through it is where Aunty Minnie rests with the South Brisbane Wests. 

Thinking of you today, Janie. 
You were always so very kind to me ... I'll never forget you.
