Morgan

Found these old photos of Morgan the Red Setter.
He lived in the 1970s
and belonged to the people who lived next door to us.
A faithful hound indeed .... much loved.

Morgan on the driveway receiving yet another pat from June.

Anywhere is a nice place for a bit of a kip, he thinks ...

RIP Morgan.... never forget you, buddy.

Two photos above; The happy couple
June & Norman
Married for 55 years, 10 days.

Above: June at Cloudland, maybe 1950 ?  Age about 20 and a bit.

Below: Helen.  Guessing about 17 years old ?

Helen.

Below:  On my Father's Mother's side -  YATES

A most interesting photo, methinks.
Left to Right: As you see it

Florence ( Mother ) then standing  Florence Beatrice ( her daughter ) who died very soon after this photo was taken.  Sitting old lady .... maybe Florence's mother ?
Boy standing:  either Roy, Richard or Abe.   ( my feeling: Abe )
Sitting man:  Richard Smith YATES.  Husband to Florence in white, father to 3 younger siblings in the photo.
Far right:  Eunice Marion, my father's mother.  Florence and Abe are her siblings.

Missing:  Hubert, who died aged 8 months and buried in Rockhampton Cemetery in an unmarked grave. NOT in Toowong Cemetery, with a memorial stone there.
Roy, who lived until about 92 years old. Had a son named Ray.
Richard.

I believe this photo was taken about 1908 but no later than 1909.

Eunice, my paternal grandmother. She is on the right side of the family portrait above.

I think that this is the WESTs / HORTONs from South Brisbane.
Possibly Minnie is the woman in dark clothing ( no white ) on the right.

His car was a Pontiac Grand Am 6.5 liter V8.
