Golden Week Vacation

Friday, 3rd May to Monday, 6th May, both inclusive.

2013. 

It is still Golden Week in Japan

and everyone is on holiday.

We enjoyed together. 

Friday, 3rd May we drove the new beast to Natori.
Not the short highway, but the long, winding back route.
Once there, we had a sizzle plate for lunch.

Saturday, 4th May, 2013

We did a big Spring Clean of our apartment,

plus Chikako did some gardening. 

 

Well, I think that it is Chikako, I couldn`t quite tell ....

Monday, 6th May, 2013

The last day of our Golden Week break.

 

We drove to a park in This City for a slightly late

Ohanami Party under the Sakura Trees. 

After that, we went for a walk through the park. 

These are very old mulberry trees whose leaves were used to feed silk worms.

The silk worms lived in the top floor of this building.



Some of the old machinery used to process the silk thread from the worms. 

It was a very interesting day for me.

We also saw some beautiful ponds, trees, flowers, etc.



I am very interested in Cobb Houses, especially after living in Devon, U.K.

where there are many of them.
