Saturday, 1st March, 2014. 

I had a day off from work today and we drove Demi-chan to Sendai City. 

Weather was a very mild 4 C or so and the snow was melting off. 

Enroute to Sendai City. 

Our second time to this place for luncheon - quite nice, not expensive,
casual yet comfortable atmosphere. 

After that, we drove out to Mitsui Outlet Park near the Harbour.
We wanted to get a few things; it is quite a place.

The last day in February ........ we went out for Korean BBQ.

It is the "moving season" in Japan 

when people start to transfer about. 

School children move to go to university, 

employees are transferred to different cities or departments

....... the "new year" begins on the 1st of April. 

My student, Akari -san will move from This City

to Waseda University in Tokyo to study English. 

I am both sad and happy for her - sad that she is leaving

but happy that she will go to university. 

Good luck, Akari ! 

She gave me a present; I was very touched. 

Snow

Northern Japan has gotten a lot of snow recently. 

Way too much.

We both had had enough sitting around so we decided to drive 

to Azuma Sports Park for a walk and then lunch.

After exercise we headed for Denny`s on the West Side of the Station.
This was Denny`s Anniversary Salad ......how special is that, eh ?? 

We could see Demi-chan waiting patiently in the car park.

She has been coming for 4 years or so

Another surprise this week ! 

Chikako decided to take me out for dinner after work. 

We went to BUU in This City. 

We are doing Double Lent this year so we started on January the 18th. 
Which means, for me, no booze and no bakery products. 
Hence the mineral water. 

The food and ambiance were both so wonderful. 
We shared a happy evening.
