I went to Lions Mansion to check out the "empty look". 
It felt sad because it was our home for so long. 
The cleaning company did a great job in making it look schmick. 

End of Lions Mansion. 
Thanks for a wonderful 6 1/2  years !

I traveled by local train from F. City south to Koriyama City. 

Happy Kanreki Birthday to me .... do I want to be this old ??

We went out for dinner in Koriyama City. 
I only wanted a simple izakaya-style event. 

That was the conclusion of Part #1 of my birthday dinner event. 
Next up, Odon. 

So good !  I enjoyed my kanreki birthday event a lot !

I drove from Koriyama to Fukushima to meet 
my wonderful friend, Noriko san. 

I parked DemiChan @ Daiyu 8 and then walked to the restaurant. 
It was so hot 'n humid ! 

Lunch was Banco Restaurant. 

Time spent talking, eating, drinking and laughing with Noriko is always time well spent.

I drove north. 

It's the second time that I have done this long journey

since I arrived back in Australia in early May. 

 Friday evening, we drank a bit of celebratory wine .... 

Jack also drove up from Brisbane to help do the gardening / chores. 

Saturday, 24th June, 2017 after working hard all day in the garden

Alicia prepared a delicious dinner. 

Apple and pear crumble ..... yum, yum. 

Sunday, 25th June, 2017

More gardening. Alicia cleaned the Weber BBQ. 

Then the Weber was used to cooked roast pork ! 

And roast vegetables.... 

Monday, 26th June, 2017.

I stayed at Hervey Bay in the morning and then drove back

to Brisbane to have dinner with Andrea at 5 pm. 

Stavros and Alicia gave me an early birthday gift. 

My favourite champagne. 

We four will drink it together later. 

 Such a wonderful Winter's morning - we went to the foreshore 

for coffee and chillin' out. 

There is a plane flying in the sky. 

Feeling so lazy ........

It's amazing how much energy some people are prepared to expend whilst never seeming to go anywhere. Take treadmills, for example. Why would you want to simulate moving forward rather than actually going somewhere? The illusion of progress is surprisingly prevalent through all aspects of life. Whether it's putting something off by doing something irrelevant, or losing perspective so that you can't see the futility of the task absorbing your energy. We all do it! Today, make sure your energy serves a purpose.

Very relevant today as P.R.W. and I drive north to Brisbane City for another meeting.
