No. Neither does being in a painful situation guarantee that we’re gaining anything valuable. The legacy of the New Moon is encouraging you to change your attitude to a difficult situation in your world. You don’t need to walk into the New Year entrenched in anything that’s causing stress. Not only are you entitled to enjoy the celebrations. If you look forwards with hope, you’ll like what happens next.
