We decided to drive to the park

to go for a looooooong walk. 

At the park is a beautiful rose garden with many bushes, different varieties, etc. 
Hiding on one of the petals was a small, green frog ! 
Wonderful. 

Very special, methinks. 

Chikako found a nest full of baby swallows.

There was a High School Archery Competition being held
in the park, too.

He just wouldn`t stay still. 

A fast-flowing stream which runs through the park. 
Water was so cool on such a humid day. 

Demi-chan patiently waiting in the car park. 

After walking we decided to go for lunch at an 
Okonomiaki Shop - Hiroshima Style, of course. 

Luncheon is served ......looked great. 
Tasted great, too. 

We scored a banana each as a parting gift. 
A great lunch experience; we`ll be back.

50 years ago today we moved into The Gap. 

Today in This City we had lunch by the river. 

The beautiful flowers danced in the breeze, 
as if they were welcoming us into their domain. 

Although it was a hot and humid day, with a little rain, 
we enjoyed the outdoors experience.

Chikako had Monday morning off. 
It was humid and rainy; we drove to have lunch
before she had to go to work. 

Impressive display ! 

Sizzle plates of hamburg and chicken. 

So so .... not special.

Thursday Evening

This City. 

Chikako wanted to go out after I finished work. 

We decided to try a new izakaya which had recently

been opened where used to be a hair salon. 

We were surprised, particularly me, about how radical

the changes which have made were. 

So delicious ! 
Japanese food is the best ...... 

My favourite. 

Computer ordering from the table made things
very simple, indeed. 

All-in-all, it was great.

where our friend, Brent was singing with his band. 

It was held in the afternoon.

The dreaded birthday has rolled around again ..... 

Some delicious snacks awaited me on the Friday when I returned
from the Coal Mine. 

Chikako presented me with some wonderful wines from
Jacobs Creek !  Maybe she is an Indian Giver ?? 

Dinner celebration was Saturday, 6th July after I finished work for the week. 
Some roses, "singing candles" and some chilled wine...... 

Thankfully there were only two candles to blow out ... I get puffed easily 
these days.

Delicious snack - olives, two types of cheese, spicy sunflower seeds.

Skip the cake, I would rather eat pineapple. 

Cleverly cut in half and filled with more delights.

"Fire up the pine !" I always say. 
So, she did.
